When I launched HCPH, we entered an area of healthcare and patient services that remained largely undefined within the traditional business model. My own expertise was not clinical; it was grounded in finance, equity, investment, and economic analysis. Yet those disciplines proved remarkably relevant in identifying both an unmet need and a sustainable path forward.
From the beginning, I understood that financial expertise alone could never define a healthcare organization. HCPH therefore established trusted, knowledgeable clinical leadership as a cornerstone of its operations—ensuring that patient care, clinical decision-making, and regulatory compliance remained firmly in the hands of experienced healthcare professionals.
The premise was straightforward: identify a genuine need, understand it through disciplined analysis, and translate that understanding into practical outcomes for patients.
Over the years, HCPH has evolved through mergers, an initial public offering, a return to private ownership, strategic partnerships, and several changes in name and corporate structure. What has not changed are the core values established at its beginning.
Today, I remain extremely proud of the partnerships HCPH has formed and, most importantly, of the commitment to excellence in care that those partnerships represent. Organizations may evolve, markets may change, and business models may be transformed, but our fundamental responsibility remains constant: to serve patients with integrity, knowledge, accountability, and compassion.
